History of What Really Happened

On December 7, 1941 was when Japan launched its attack on Pearl Harbor. The U.S. now knew that the nation would enter into its 2nd world war.

The U.S. knew that many things were going to have to change in the nation, so they could fight and win this war. After the bombing on Pearl Harbor American industry rapidly increased production of war time materials.


In the month of July, 1945 there was a lot of talk about this new weapon that the U.S. had, amongst the chemist, military and the presidential candidacy of the U.S. The weapon was the atomic bomb that the U.S. had now created. In July 16, 1945 Los Alamos, New Mexico was when the Trinity Test occured. It was the first time the U.S. realized the strength and amplitude their new weapon had.
On August, 6 1945was when "Little Boy" was dropped on Hiroshima, 80,000 to 120,000 people died instantly. The Jappanese did not surrender so then on August, 9 1945 the "Fat Man" was dropped on Nagasaki 35,000 to 74,000 innocent Japanese lives were taken instantly.
